WerkHaus Zine Issue 5 – Now. And Again.
WerkHaus Zine is a print and digital publication of contemporary photography curated by Workhorse Collective.
It’s a collaborative zine. We put out an open call to photographers and artists all over the world. It is a place to document and re-imagine our urban lives and spaces.
Theme: ‘Now. And Again.’
Our themes are an invitation to artists. We offer a prompt so they can make new work, or rediscover previous images in a new light. We try and make it open enough for people to find a connection to it, but not so broad that it could be anything.
With this theme we were thinking about time, history, memory and the future. How is this ‘now’ different from in the past, how will it echo into the future. We had submissions with a wide range of interpretations, from family albums to repeated actions, to demolished buildings and more.
